Helambu Trek 9 days is a wonderful short trek close to Kathmandu Valley. Even being so close to Kathmandu, the Helambu region remains comparatively fine. As well the Buddhist Hyolmo culture of high mountain people, the company of green rhododendron and bamboo forests, majestic waterfalls, and snowy Himalayas make the trek one of most varied treks near Kathmandu. The huge Himalayan scenery at the edge with Tibet and monasteries make a trek to the Buddhist region an enthralling experience. The people living the highlands of the Langtang region are definitely the Nepalis, being the descendant of the Tibetan origin; they still look like Tibetan people and also language is similar with Tibetan people.
The Helambu Trek 9 daysstarts from Sundarijal, around an hour's drive from Kathmandu. After about an hour's hike, we enter Shivapuri National Park. Continuing along the via Chisopani, Kutumsang, Thadepati and Sermathang, the trek ends at the Melamchipull Bazaar in the Helambu region.

Eco Tourism Adventure Pvt. Ltd provides two kinds of accommodation during Helambu Trek 9 days. At Kathmandu, we provide three star hotel rooms with breakfast twin sharing base. During the trek, we provide nice lodge or guest house room with common toilet and bath twin sharing base. If you need a Single room we will charge extra $155 (Kathmandu and trek) but high season not so easy to get single room on the way Helambu Region.
Helambu Trek 9 days, Eco Tourism Adventure Pvt. Ltd provides different kind of food like Nepali, Continental and Indian with one cup of tea and coffee. We provide welcome dinner Nepali cousin with Nepali culture dance and farewell dinner at K2 steak house (best steak in Kathmandu). Breakfast Kathmandu hotel provide a lot of items you can choose yourself and other guest house you can choose one items in the menu with cup of tea and coffee.
Eco Tourism Adventure Pvt. Ltd, Helambu Trek 9 days is easy trek basically hikers have to hike per day 3 to 4 hours with daypack except some days are longer hour than 6 to 7. High altitude hike anyway need energy and experience, that absolutely help for your altitude fitness, have a positive attitude, self-confidence and physically powerful determination, we can achieve the trek successfully. If Around month jogging regularly before this trip is a great idea to improve our power and performance. Past hiking experience would be a great advantage but no technical skill is required for this trip. Before booking this trip it is a great idea to consult with your doctor and if you have any disease better inform us.
We have two best seasons in the year like autumn and spring, Autumn best month is mid September to mid December and spring best month is mid February to May this two seasons are the best seasons for this trek because of the weather is fine and warm with perfect views but the nights are chilly and can drop to freezing level in higher altitude. Winter season is also good for Helambu Trek the only problem is cold. Trekking in summer season will be affected by rain but the summer trek could. The trekking routes are not crowded like a spring and autumn.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu 1330m
Arrival at the Airport in Kathmandu, we will be greeted by a representative from Eco Tourism Adventure Pvt. Ltd. will take your hotel. Today the trek leader will check our equipment to make sure for one last time to get us ready for our adventure. This step will also ensure that if any equipment is found faulty we have the rest of the day to fix it or find equipment that works. After checking in the evening there will be a welcome dinner in a Nepali Restaurant where we will be able to enjoy authentic Nepali cuisine. Hotel Overnight. Included meal: (D)
Day 02: Drive to Sundarijal then trek to Chisapani 2300m Drive 1 hour, Trek 3-4 hours
Today after Kathmandu hotel breakfast, around hour we drive to Sundarijal 1350m, where our trek starting point. We start our trek along a water supply pipe line for Kathmandu valley. The trail then enters through into the Shivapuri National Park one smallest national park in Nepal. Then first village we come across is Mulkharka village typically populated by the Tamang people. After then we walk all along the ridge through a forest of oaks and rhododendron to Chisopani village. Lodge Overnight. Included meal: (B,L,D)
Day 03: Trek to Kutumsang 2446m 6-7 hours
Today after breakfast, we begin for a trek to Kutumsang. Trek starts with a downhill crossing meadows and fields. Enjoy the outstanding views of the Langtang White Mountains. Today will passing via Pathi Bhanjyang and Gul Bhanjyang, after Gul Bhanjyang, the trail uphill the ridge to another beautiful pass then another downhill to Kutumsang. Lodge Overnight. Day 04: Trek to Thadepati 3650m 5-6 hours
Today after breakfast, we climb over Kutumsang on a vertical trail mostly through fir and rhododendron forest where there we can’t find permanent settlements or village. The trek continues to Yurin Danda with outstanding views of the Langtang Himalayas. Lastly, we get there at Tharepati village for our today’s destination. Lodge Overnight. Included meal: (B,L,D)
Day 05: Trek to Tarkeghyang 2560m 5-6 hours
Today after breakfast, we trek to Tarkeghyang. Today’s trail descends until we cross the Melamchi Khola(Melamchi River). Then we trek all the way uphill to Tarkeghyang passing through Helmu village. Find out the village and its monastery which is one of the oldest and main monasteries in the Helambu region. The village is more popularly known as Helambu, since a large amount of the population belong to the Helmu ethnic group or caste. Lodge Overnight. Included meal: (B,L,D)
Day 06: Trek to Sermathang 2610m 3-4 hours
Today after breakfast, we are do not gain altitude that much today; it's going to be comparatively easy walk today then previous day. We are passing on the way via forests, streams and waterfalls. Trail flows along the Parachin and the Sherpa village of Gangyul. After Gangyul, we arrive at Sermathang village. After hot lunch we have plenty of time to explore to the village. There we can find a Buddhist monastery at the top of the village. Lodge Overnight. Included meal: (B,L,D)
Day 07: Trek to MalemchiPul Bazaar then Drive to Kathmandu 3-4 hrs trek 2 hours drive
Today after breakfast, our final day of the Helambu trek, we trek down to MalemchiPul Bazaar. The village is mostly populated by the Sherpa, but there are also people of other ethnic group like Tamang Helmu and more. After getting the Melamchipull Bazaar, we drive back to Katmandu. After getting Kathmandu we can have the rest at hotel or whatever next as you like to do. Hotel Overnight. Included meal: (B,L)
Day 08: Kathmandu Full day sightseeing
Today after breakfast, we start a city guide tour to several of the most historical and religious attraction in Kathmandu. The sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the famous 'Monkey Temple' (Swayambhunath) and Buddhist shrine (Bouddhanath), which is one of the largest stupas in the world. With Eco Tourism Adventure will celebrate our successful trip in the Langtang Valley trek by providing a farewell dinner. Hotel Overnight. Included meal: (B,D)
